Printer Cable Connections
Many times, when a printer isn’t printing out tickets, the cause is a loose connection between the printer and the controlling station or network
The problem is often resolved by unplugging and plugging back in the printer cable from the back of the printer
Thermal printers
usually connected by serial cables or an Ethernet cable in the restaurant and/or bar. The printer is often connected to a controlling station by a serial cable
Example of Different Printer Connections

Tan Focus adapter with network cable in the back of the printer Unplug the network cable and plug back in. Make sure there is a nice click when it’s plugged in.
Impact Printers
usually are IP printers that are in the kitchen(if they are serial- they act like serial thermal printers). IP printer are connected to Network via and Ethernet cable
Solution
Unplug the network cable from the back of the printer and plug it back in. When you plug it back in there should be a green and amber light from where you plugged the network cable into.
