Credit Card Declines & Processor Errors

 
 

If you are getting declines on credit card transactions there are a few reasons why that could be the case:

Reason 1

Internet to the pos system is not working. To see if you are getting internet to your pos system go to page J-2.

If you are not getting internet to the pos system call your internet service provider to see if there are outages.

Reason 2

Credit card station not being seen on the network. See page J-8.

Reason 3

The credit card processor server is down. This is a rare occurrence but if this the case you can call your processor.

Reason 4

A network device on the pos network is not working correctly or needs to be power cycled.
